Self Care Inventory Database Notion Template
Do you have too much skincare, makeup, haircare, etc to keep track of? Utilize this tracker to keep track of all your products, when you opened them, when they expire, instructions, products to avoid using them with and so much more.
This database has 9 helpful views. See everything divided by 4 types of self care; haircare, makeup, oral care, and skincare. Each category has its own template that will add an icon and select the corresponding category.
DATABASE VIEWS
- Product Library: Shows every product inputted
- Haircare, Makeup, Oral Care & Skincare: Only shows what’s in your current rotation.
- Expiration List: Shows you all the products you have opened that has yet to expire in order of what expires the soonest.
- Expired: Shows you everything in your inventory that is expired
- Unopened: Your backlog of unopened products
- Samples: Keep all your samples in one place so you don’t forget about them!
DATABASE PROPERTIES
- In Use, Unopened, and Sample checkboxes: select the status of your product
- Category: haircare, makeup, oral care, or skincare
- Type: what the product is (i.e. eye cream, lip tint, etc.)
- Brand
- Color
- Base: This property is for makeup and skincare so you can get the best results mixing products with the same base.
- Tags: features of the product (i.e. acne, sensitivity, SPF, curls, etc.)
- Active Ingredients: easily callout important ingredients
- Avoid With ⚠️: This category is important for skincare. List the active ingredients this product should not be mixed with.
- Time: For AM or PM (or both) application of skincare
- Notes
- Opened: Select the date you start using this product; it is necessary for the formulas to calculate the expiration date and to verify if the product is expired or not.
- Months: Input the number of months the product is good for once opened. You can usually find this number inside an outline of a round container on the back of the product or the product’s packaging (known as the period-after-opening symbol). While most products have this, some may not.
- Expires Date: Fixed; Automatically calculates the expiration date based on your data in Opened and Months
- Expired?: Fixed; This field auto-calculates to show if the product is currently still good or expired.
For a stunning Product Library, add an image to each product, change the Product Library view to Gallery, and select the preview source to where ever the image is on the product card (either banner, image property, or page content).
